Course Details: All swim distances will be setup as an out and back, which has been received well by athletes! The 1.2 mile swim distance will take you .6 miles out from Lake Gardner Beach to a turnaround buoy about 75 yards from Battis Farm. Endurance swimmers completing the 2.4 mile swim will complete this out and back course, twice. The cutoff time is 2 hours for the 2.4 mile swim.
Adult Splash & Dash Details: Athletes will begin with a 1/2 mile swim, followed by a 2 mile trail run through the Lake Gardner Trail System. Shoes are required, as a portion of it is a rooty trail. Transition will be stationed at the Lake Gardner Beach. Run leg will consist of a 2-mile run that will weave you through the Amesbury Trail System that sits just parallel to Lake Gardner. The trail is a well maintained, hard packed surface that is rated as easy terrain. The course will have small red ground flags set throughout the single-track trail portion(Stagecoach Trail), and then directional course signage once you’re off the single track. You’ll be following the Stagecoach trail into Battis Farm, a beautiful open field. You’ll turn around at the parking lot at Battis Farm and head back the same way back to the finish line.
